Made his major debut at the 2021 US Open and played his first Open Championship at St Andrews the following year.

That came two weeks after capturing his maiden DP World Tour title at the Horizon Irish Open, where he finished birdie-birdie-eagle-par for a three-stroke victory over Ryan Fox.

It made him the first Polish winner on the circuit and he went on to finish a superb eighth on the Tour Rankings – that guaranteed him a place at Royal Liverpool - and among the world’s top 60.

In December, Meronk added the ISPS Handa Australian Open by an impressive five strokes from Adam Scott and in May came a third title at the Italian Open. Although born in Germany, he represented Poland in the 2012, 2014 and 2016 Eisenhower Trophy World Amateur Team Championships, finishing alongside Justin Thomas in joint seventh place individually on his first appearance as a 19-year-old.

On turning professional, he had three years on the European Challenge Tour, winning the 2019 Portuguese Open, before graduating to the main circuit. Led the 2020 Alfred Dunhill Championship with a round to go in South Africa, but managed only a closing 76 and finished joint runner-up to Christiaan Bezuidenhout.
